The first Shia Website in Portugese is to be launched in the holy city of Qom. This is according to M. H. Rabbani, who is in charge of Latin American Pavilion of Al-Mustafa International University at the 18th Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition.
He explained about the the website, which is set to open in a few days, contains Islamic books and articles as well as the content of the Noble Quran and Hadith all in the Portuguese language.
“The first Shia website in Spanish (www.islamoriente.com) which was launched two and half years ago by Andishe-Shargh culture and art institute in Qom will also be renovated,” he noted.
He said that various sections have been added to the Spanish website since its launch including books and articles, principles of prayer and other Islamic obligations available in audio and video followed by the texts and their translations, Islamic digital library in both Spanish and Portuguese, the latest Quran reading project with textual and audio files, videos concerning Quran recitations accompanied by simultaneous translation, etc.
“ Internet Radio and Television broadcast in Spanish, Islamic calendar with prayer timings of most parts of the world, Iranology and Persian dictionary are among our future plans and projects in order to develop the website in terms of quality and quantity “ Rabbani went on to say.
